CIGARETTES, WHISKEY AND WILD WILD WOMEN
cho: Cigarettes, whiskey and wild wild women
They’ll drive you crazy, they’ll drive you insane;
Cigarettes, whiskey and wild wild women
They’ll drive you crazy, they’ll drive you insane;
Once I was happy and had a good wife
I had enough money to last me for life
Then I met with a gal and we went on a spree
She taught me smokin’ and drinkin’ whiskee
(CHORUS)
Cigarettes are a blight on the whole human race
A man is a monley with one in his face;
Take warning dear friend, take warning dear brother
A fire’s on one end, a fools on the t’other.
(CHORUS)
And now good people, I’m broken with faith
The lines on my face make a well written page
I’m weavin’ this story — how sadly but true
On women and whiskey and what they can do
(CHORUS)
Wild the cross at the head of my grave
For women and whiskey here lies a poor slave.
Take warnin’ poor stranger, take warnin’ dear friend
In wide clear letters this tale of my end.
(CHORUS)

  It is hot in Fort Worth (TX).  I was out in the heat.

CIMG1554

  Do I look hot?  Well,  OK OK  you know what I mean.
(Of course I look "hot" with my new hat on.  I am sure woman all over the world, and gay guys, want me after seeing me with my new hat on and a sweat worked up.)

"Just weeks after breaking up a Russian spy ring that included a 28-year-old woman, federal authorities have charged a Dallas-area woman of a similar age with trying to smuggle three night-vision rifle sights to Russia.

A federal court affidavit filed in New York accuses 24-year-old Anna Fermanova of suburban Plano of trying tried to move the scopes in March without the proper export licenses.

The devices were seized as Fermanova was boarding a plane for Moscow at JFK International Airport, according to the document. She was allowed to complete the trip but was arrested after her return on a charge of attempting to export U.S. munitions. She was arrested at her parents’ Plano home on July 15. She was released to home detention after posting $50,000 bond…"   Fox News

  I think I should be living in the Austin Texas area and not the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

  I do not have a problem with schools teaching abstinence from sex until you are an adult.  My problem is if they teach "abstinence only" education.  They need to teach sex education.
  The state of Texas is big there is a small light of hope in the SMCISD.

  I just signed up for CashCrate.  This YouTube video gives you the details.  It looks like it might work.  I am not sure how much money you can make.  I made $1.00 just for signing up.  Then I filled out one survey and I forget how much I get for that.  It looks interesting.
  Just do not let any kids do this…They might sign up for something that is going to get you junk mail or something. This should be for adults only.

If you sign up please use the banner below to click to sign up.  That way I will get credit for your sign  up and get 20% of what you make.

Fourth of July celebrations should be fun — and safe. The Fort Worth Fire Department encourages residents to leave fireworks to trained professionals because, in the wrong hands, they can cause serious injury. Besides, fireworks are illegal to possess, use or sell in the Fort Worth city limits.

Enforcement teams of police officers and firefighters will be patrolling the city this weekend. Anyone caught violating the ordinance will be ticketed and all fireworks will be confiscated. Fines for a fireworks citation range from $564 to $2,000; violators may receive multiple citations.

Fireworks pose a risk of starting unwanted fires. The hazards include uncontrolled fires set by wayward rockets and mortars.

Physical injury to fireworks users and bystanders is common. Sparklers — yes, even sparklers are banned — burn at more than 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Fort Worth Fire Department hopes that all residents enjoy this holiday in a safe and legal way. The department recommends that Fort Worth residents leave the fireworks to the professionals and find a public display to watch, such as at Fort Worth’s Fourth.

To learn more about fireworks dangers and associated injuries, visit the Centers for Disease Control’s website."

  I went out last night as soon as it got dark looking for fireworks.  I saw some in the distance a long way off.  I heard a very few fire crackers in the area.
  I did not know that fireworks were illegal in Fort Worth.
  I have to say that it looked like everyone was following the law. That is a surprise to me.  I been in other cities were fireworks not legal and everyone was shooting them anyway.
  I was the only officer working in Raymore (MO) one year and fireworks were illegal and the entire town was out in their yards and the streets shooting hem off.  I had to be careful there was so much smoke it was hard to drive.

The First Lady is asking 100 percent of Americans to support the brave men and women in uniform and their families back home. Here are some things you can do in your community to get started:

  • Stay informed about the activities and concerns of military families in your community and across the nation;
  • Take time out to get to know and express appreciation to military families;
  • Help ensure military families have the opportunity to share their stories and voice their concerns in your community;
  • Help ensure the places where you work, worship, and participate in community life connect their activities to addressing military families’ unique challenges; and
  • Identify opportunities in your communities to tap into the unique skills, experience and commitment to service our military families display each day.

Today, the First Family will host more than 1,200 military heroes and their families for a Fourth of July celebration at the White House. Tune in for the Second Annual “Salute to the Military” USO Concert, featuring The Killers, Brandi Carlile, Cedric “The Entertainer,” and “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band. The evening wraps up with a viewing of the fireworks on the National Mall. You can watch the whole thing live on WhiteHouse.gov/live starting at 7 PM EDT. Happy Independence Day!

In case you missed it, watch a video from last year’s 4th of July celebration at the White House.

  My God, I am so tired of these stupid and crazy people that think that a state has the right to "nullify" a federal law.  Nullification has been ruled unconstitutional every time.  Federal laws are the "supreme law of the land."
  Now it is bad enough when you got some Tom, Dick or Harry that lives down the street from you thinking that the state of Texas, or what ever state you are in, can nullify federal law but my God we got guys that are holding political office thinking and preaching it.
  I do not understand how we can make it as a nation when we have people that stupid.  Not only do they vote in elections but they hold some state offices.  What is going on in schools?  They teach history in schools correct?  They teach government in schools right?
  Maybe we need some very very basic test given before you can vote.  I know… I know.. we had states, in the past, using that to keep blacks from voting…So we do not want to open that can of worms again.
  But what about a test with ten simple questions;  "What state is this?" Could be one question.
  OK… I know it will not work.. It is a bad idea..

  But how do we deal with these people that do not understand the basic form of government?

  I think what we need is another Gov.  Orval Faubus.  I was in high school when the 1957 Little Rock Crisis took place. That was before earth satellites, cable news and the world wide web.  ( I however did have a printed publican that I put out monthly! Yes, I was in high school at the time.)
  Now we need another man like Gov. Faubus.. Well we got them…We just need for something like this event to happen again …Let the governor of some state like TX or AZ take some action to "nullify" federal law and then it would be the education that some of the American people need and that some of them did not get in school.
  Let Gov. Rick Perry or some other governor "nullify" some federal law and let the education begin.

  What happened in 1957?   What was the Little Rock Crisis

  Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus refused to allow black students to enroll at Little Rock Central High School.  A federal court ordered Governor Faubus to allow the students to enroll.  President Dwight Eisenhower even met with Governor Faubus and warned the governor not to interfere with the Supreme Court’s ruling.
  Governor Faubus called out the Arkansas National Guard and had them block the black students from enrolling.  President Dwight Eisenhower, a Republican, took control of the national guard away from Governor Faubus and ordered them to leave the school. Let me repeat that again..  President Eisenhower federalized the entire 10,000 member Arkansas National Guard and the governor no longer had a national guard or at least that he could issue any order to them.
  The President of the United States then sent in the United States Army (the 101st Airborne Division.  They saw to it that federal law and the court order was followed.
  At the time, remember I was alive and watching it on TV and listening to it on the radio, President Eisenhower was ready to have federal police officers and the 101st if needed arrest Governor Faubus.  As I remember it.. Governor Faubus then agreed that he would not take any action that would force the federal government to arrest him.

  OK OK.. No I don’t want anything like this to happen again… We got to many crazy and stupid people around now.. I think we got more today than in 1957.  Now with cable TV you would have the nuts on Fox "news" saying who knows what on the air and you would have a lot of crazy people with guns running around and some people would get hurt.

  We need education.  We need Fox "news" and some of these stupid people to get an education.  Learn about our system of government and our laws.  This is a great nation.  We got a great system.  I am not so sure about our education system.

  I like my new doctor.  I have had a new doctor since I been here in Fort Worth.  This doctor will send me test results at home.  He will write on the test results if he needs to see  me  or if they are OK.  My doctor is Todd K. Cowan at the Health First-Green Oaks.

  I love seeing a actual copy of the report.  I had lab word done on 0/07/2010.  It was mainly to check on my potassium level since I am now on a water pill.  He also has me taking a potassium pill.

  My potassium level was 4.4 (the range is 3.5 to 5.3).
Now I notice that my Glucose level is 111 and that is high (the range is 65-99 mg/dL).  But we did the better Glucose test a few months ago and my level was OK.  So nothing to worry about…I say that as I pour myself a another glass of Coke.

  I went to BestBuy today and I got a LG Rumor Touch cell phone.  It was $149.99 so they do not have the special any more.
  I am going to post today or tomorrow on YouTube and here my feeling about the cell phone and Virgin Mobile.  If you are offended by cuss words then do not watch the video.  Smile

  If you buy a LG Rumor Touch when you go to Virgin Mobile to sign up they will ask you if someone told you about the phone/service and they will ask for a "kickback" code.  Put in:  eJ7W7Tnn
           You will get an extra 60 minutes free and I will get 60 minutes added to my service.

  I love the phone.  I signed up for the $40.00 a month plan. So I will have 1100 minutes a month.  If you can live with 300 minutes a month you can get service for $25.00 a month.  Do not forget the "kickback" code:  eJ7W7Tnn and get an extra 60 minutes.
  It is a hell of a phone and for $25.00 a month it is a hell of a deal.
  Why then will I be screaming and cussing in the video about it?  Hay, I want you to wait and see my having a fit and do not want to spoil the fun of seeing me pissed off.

  BestBuy would have put in the battery and activated the phone for me. I came home and did it.  If you buy the phone someplace let them put in the battery and activate it for you.  Smile

"Father’s Day is a day honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. It is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in 55 countries and on other days elsewhere. It complements Mother’s Day, the celebration honoring mothers. It is a widely known celebration…"

  The above card was made by my oldest child in 1977.  I am sure fathers and mothers around the world have cards, little gifts and notes and stuff like this put away someplace.  Moms and dads now days are very lucky..They can have photos and even videos to save and look at later in life to bring a smile to their face and a tears to their eyes.

"From the great Rachel Maddow. With respect to off-shore drilling, we have learned nothing in over 3 decades except how to drill in deeper water and, as a result, make spills more difficult to stop. Amazing!"

  My new HP w2338H LCD monitor, I got it November 25th of last year, has a bad power supply.  It was buzzing for a day or so and I did not know it was the monitor until it shut off on me.
  Now if I turn on the monitor it will buzz for about two minutes and then it will shut off.
  Hewlett-Packard (HP) in the past have made great hardware.
  I hope that has not changed.  I have never had to contact them about warranty work.  I will be contacting them later today.  I hope it goes well.

  You will remember that I had a nice Gateway LCD monitor before this that I loved.  The power supply went out on it.  But it was not under warranty.
  I am poor, I do not want to be buying new LCD monitors all the time.  I want to buy other things.

    I got the monitor at BestBuy in Fort Worth.  I guess if I had got a service contract with them I could have just returned it to them.  But those contracts are a rip off.  Not just from them but all of them. They make tons of money from those contracts.
   But sometimes they are nice to have.  But I have had problems in the past with BestBuy and I have had lots of friends that have had problems with them.  (I have not had any problems with the Fort Worth BestBuy yet.)
