We have had some great weather for the last few days. It is 0300 hours and it is 60 degrees right now. My son and I walked over to 7-11 about an hour ago. I had a sweater on and no coat.
I saw a number of Fort Worth Police officers out and working. I have also been listening on my scanner sometimes to the Fort Worth Police. I am very impressed. They seem very professional and they are out working and doing things.
I lived in Miami for five years and I never saw the police do a car stop, for traffic, in all that time. I also listened sometimes to their police channel and it was rare to hear them doing any real police work. I mean the stuff that counts. They seemed to be doing special shit…following drug dealers or something…I think they are pretty much worthless.
About seven years ago I lived in Dallas for a year or two. I do not think I did much listening to them for some reason. I did have some contact with them. I was working FAA control tower security at Love Field. Their airport police station was right across the road from us. The Dallas police were a bunch of pricks. At least the ones working there that I had contact with… The FAA control tower workers parked inside a gated area. We, their security, were not allowed to park in that area. But there were six parking spaces at the gate. There were two of us on duty. Well the police wanted to park their personal cars in those six parking spaces. It was FAA tower parking spaces and none of us objected to them taking four of the spaces but they wanted the two spaces that we parked in and they were real ass holes over it. They did not get our two spaces but.. My boy .. So that was my real only impression of the Dallas police. Not a good one.
The Fort Worth police I see them out working and doing car stops. I hear them on the radio and I am impressed with what I see and hear.
One thing that drives me crazy is comments on YouTube about the police. Any video that has anything about the police in it …gets the most hateful and stupid anti-police comments left. I do not care what the video is about.. It can be a video of a police offer being a hero and doing wonderful things.. No matter what it is.. There are a large number of people that hate the police and carry on and leave comments. What the hell do are jails allow inmates to surf the Internet and post comments?
I was a small town police officer for ten years and a hospital security officer for 30 years.
So I know the police and have had a lot of contact with them. I have also blasted them often in my blog. I think I can be pretty fair… We all have times when we are wrong on a subject.
I do not think I am wrong about the Fort Worth police.
